McGillivray Land and Livestock

Based near Kamloops, British Columbia, McGillivray Livestock is a family-owned operation managed by Jason and Susan McGillivray, who are both practicing veterinarians. Established in 1999, the ranch expanded in 2011 by taking over the historic Jocko Creek Ranch, which dates back to 1903. The program specializes in Straight Canadian Black Angus genetics, managing a herd of 180 purebred and 120 commercial cows. Their breeding philosophy focuses on producing structurally sound cattle that balance calving ease and performance, specifically adapted to thrive and graze in rugged BC terrain for 260 days of the year.
