Richardson Ranch

Based in Tlell on Haida Gwaii, British Columbia, Richardson Ranch is a multi-generational operation celebrating over 100 years of family history. Managed by Don and Leslie Richardson alongside their family, the ranch is home to the world-renowned Tlell Polled Hereford herd, which grazes on the salt-water estuaries of the Tlell River. Their breeding philosophy centers on "Cow Sense and Science," utilizing genomic testing, RFI feed efficiency data, and total herd evaluation to produce cattle with exceptional carcass quality and "real-world" durability. By prioritizing maternal excellence, calving ease, and structural soundness, the Richardsons provide high-performance seedstock and exportable genetics to producers across Canada and internationally to countries including Great Britain, Sweden, and Australia.
