Pedersen Livestock

Based in Edgerton, Alberta, Pedersen Livestock is a family-owned and operated ranch managed by Kurt and Becky Pedersen along with their children, Quinn, Trigg, and Tell. Since establishing their Purebred Black Angus program in 2008, the operation has expanded to include a red division and a commercial herd. Their breeding philosophy is built around "the momma cow," prioritizing maternal excellence, fertility, and structural soundness—particularly foot and leg integrity for navigating the steep Battle River hills. By utilizing advanced tools such as artificial insemination, embryo transfer, and rigorous performance testing, the ranch provides high-quality, "easy-fleshing" seedstock designed to thrive in real-world environments for the commercial cattleman.
