Burgess Ranch

Based near Maple Creek, Saskatchewan, Burgess Ranch is a fourth-generation family operation managed by Joe and Evelyn Burgess alongside JJ and Rori Burgess. Located along the north slope of the Cypress Hills, the ranch focuses on producing high-quality Black Baldie replacement heifers. Their breeding philosophy centers on functional, easy-to-work-with cattle, with a specific emphasis on structural integrity, foot quality, and superior udders. By crossing their 1,300–1,400 lb Hereford-base cows with performance-tested Black Angus bulls, Burgess Ranch delivers uniform, maternal-driven females designed to excel in commercial ranching environments.
